Some pretty sad news on the Bachelor front: reality star and Hollywood legacy child Shayne Lamas, former star of The Bachelor (and, subsequently, Couples Therapy) is undergoing some pretty serious medical issues after suffering a miscarriage after 16 weeks of pregnancy.

According to Fox News, Lamas -- who is married to The Dirty website owner Nik Richie -- was rushed to the hospital with internal bleeding and, during the emergency surgery process to stop the bleeding, lost the baby she was carrying. She was 16 weeks along in her pregnancy when the miscarriage happened.

Shayne's famous father, Lorenzo Lamas, issued a statement to the press about his daughter's condition: "We are so grateful that my daughter, Shayne Lamas-Richie, is conscious and stable. She is not in a coma, however she did miscarry the child she was carrying. We are so very grateful to the hospital personnel and the doctors who saved her life last night. Shayne is aware of her condition and that her family and her husband are here with her and love her so much. She will be remaining in the hospital until her doctors determine that she can be released."

This contradicts earlier reports released by such press outlets as Zap2It, who reported that the starlet was in a coma and having trouble breathing on her own.

According to the same site, the problems first started on Sunday, around 7:30 at night, when Shayne was rushed to the hospital. She was rushed to the hospital from the Orange County, California home she shares with her husband. Doctors realized that she was bleeding around her uterine area, and she miscarried as they went in to stop the bleeding.

Lamas and her husband are the parents of 2-year-old Press.

Our condolences are definitely with her and her family at what is undoubtedly a difficult time.
