The CW has released some new details about "The 100" on their YouTube channel in a video regarding how the story is going to progress in Season 3. One thing that's for sure is that they will not be deviating much from the theme, but rather taking audiences back to see where it all started.

In regards to Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey), fans have wanted to know if she is going to be a die-hard mechanic, given the mechanical expertise that her character seems to have.

Their response for the most part was no, but Carey weighed in saying that she definitely has some basic mechanical knowledge.

But the biggest news from the video interviews is the series will be going back in time to show the origins of how the post-apocalyptic society came about; details about how the Grounders stayed alive; and what life was like on the ship.

Details like these will be a recurring theme throughout the season. It is unclear if these scenes will play out in flashbacks from the characters point of view, or if they will have specific scenes and arcs dedicated solely to their origin stories.

In another CW video, concerning Lincoln and Octavia, there will be a progression in their relationship. Octavia has Lincoln's heart, and they will still have to contend with survival being the most important factor for them and their group.

There is also word that Bellamy may go back to his old ways following the Clarke's departure. But he is also expected to have a confidante within the group, so the story may take an unexpected turn at times.

Although the introduction of Ally will introduce some of the origin stories, there is also a possibility that she will take on the role of the new big bad. But she won't be the only one.

Season 3 of 'The 100" is expected to premiere midseason in 2016.
