Mendes first caught the attention of fans with his viral videos on Vine and then acquired a huge fan base on YouTube with his various covers of popular hit songs. The 17-year-old released his debut album "Handwritten" in April 2015. The album featured his own original singles, "Life of the Party" and "Stitches."
Thanks to his original music, the Canadian star's popularity has grown significantly and caught the attention of Taylor Swift, who invited him to perform at several shows for her 1989 World Tour.
For those fans who weren't able to watch Mendes perform on Swift's tour, the singer is offering an all-access pass with the announcement of "ShawnAccessLive," which will be the streaming of his sold-out concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, reported MTV. The streaming of the Aug. 16 show will give fans the chance to see him live and those who sign up at ShawnAccess.com will get behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive content. Mendes made the announcement on Twitter on Aug. 13.
