Since wrapping up its sixth season in December, Sons of Anarchy news has been hard to come by. All eager fans could do was bite their nails in anticipation for the final season premiering this fall on FX. Yet, when Sons of Anarchy concludes its record breaking cable TV run, fans may not have to mourn all that long. No, a movie isn't in the works, but something much more interactive is in store for fans. A long-delayed, heavily rumored video game about the hit biker gang show is coming.

The most recent announcement came way back in November 2012 when Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter declared the game "dead." Whatever happened over the past 15 months clearly has Sutter amped up. In a recent tweet, he could barely contain his excitement about the game.

"I cannot give you anymore details, but I will tell you that there will definitely be an SOA game," Sutter said. "And it's pretty f**king awesome."

So that announcement, while welcome news for Anarchy fans who moonlight as gamers, doesn't contain an iota of information about the game itself. As of this moment here's what we do know. It will be a first-person action adventure title. It will also be in high-definition. Whether that means 720p or 1080p is anyone's guess, but here's hoping that it looks better than this previous zombie game. There's also no word yet on what platform the untitled game will be released on.

With the arrival of Xbox One and PS4 late last year, one would assume that any Sons of Anarchy video game would launch on these platforms. PC and Mac gamers could get lucky as well. After all, Telltale Games' The Walking Dead video game series is a great seller on those machines.

So while Sutter's didn't tell us anything related to the game's storyline, or when it would be released, the fact that this game is going to be released at all is awesome news.
