George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Fire and Ice" novel series will soon spawn a video game and already created the hit HBO series, "Game of Thrones." Fans seem to love the franchise in all forms, so is a "Game of Thrones" movie the next move? According to actor Kit Harington, maybe.

On Tuesday, Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series, attended a screening of his new movie, "Pompeii," at the Cinema Society, Variety reports. During an interview, the actor said that a movie based off of the "Game of Thrones" show is a possibility.

"I think it's an option on the table, maybe," Harington said. "It's very filmic in its style already, so it's possible."

The chances of a movie could increase if the show's next season is a hit.

"Game of Thrones" Season 4 premiere is on April 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show's highly anticipated season will include some casting changes. Daario Naharis, who joined the show in Season 3, has been recasted as British actor Ed Skrein. Instead, Michiel Huisman, a Dutch actor known for "Nashville," will play the love interest of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Season 4 will also go on without Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark.

In addition, pirating could affect the likeliness of a "Game of Thrones" movie. Last year, TorrentFreak named the show the most-prated television show of 2013. Its Season 3 finale, "Mhysa", was pirated 5.9 million times. This was Game of Thrones' second consecutive year winning the title. This level of streaming shows a high amount of interest in the series while simultaneously showing a demand for free content, making an expensive movie project questionable.

In December, Telltale Games announced that it was releasing a Game of Thrones video game. It will be primarily based off of the show starring Harington, rather than Martin's books. The game will reportedly not be action-heavy. It is likely that the "Game of Thrones" game will follow an episodic format.

"Pompeii," which stars Harington as Milo, hits theaters Feb. 21.
