Madden NFL 16 News, Gameplay and Review: NFC South Ratings
We are six days away from the release of Madden NFL 16, and today the main focus is the NFC South. With that in mind, here are the ratings for the teams in the NFC South:
Carolina Panthers Overall Team Rating: 80
The Carolina Panthers won the division for the second straight year with a 7-8-1 record. They are seeking a second straight division title. Quarterback Cam Newton will have the same offensive group as last year with second year wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin and tight end Greg Olsen. For the defense, linebacker Luke Kuechly will lead the defense. Will the Panthers win the division this season?
New Orleans Saints Overall Team Rating: 78
A few years ago, the Saints were the best team in the NFC South. The Saints are facing tough times as the team lost a number of key players offensively including star tight end Jimmy Graham. It is up to quarterback Drew Brees and second-year wide receiver Brandin Cooks to lead the offense. As for the defense, defensive end Cameron Jordan and safety Jairus Byrd will both have a great year, but can the rest of the defense step it up?
Atlanta Falcons Overall Team Rating: 77
The Falcons have a new coaching staff, but the offense stays the same. Returning are quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones, and they will score some points. The defense is a little suspect as cornerback Desmond Trufant will lead the team. Can the Falcons win the division?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Overall Team Rating: 74
The Buccaneers are a team on the rise as 2014 first overall pick Jameis Winston will lead the offense. Winston will have two very good wide receivers in Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson. The defense does have some bright spots as defensive tackle Gerald McCoy will lead this young defense. It might be a long season in Tampa but the future looks bright for the Buccaneers.
Madden NFL 16 will be in stores on Aug. 25 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
