"Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel is rumored to be recruiting Jenny McCarthy to join the cast of the show for its upcoming eighth season.

According to the New York Post, the former "The View" panelist revealed on her Sirius XM radio show on Monday that Frankel had reached out to her via email about the prospect of her coming on board.

"I like watching the drama," said 42-year-old McCarthy. "The problem is I'd have to go in with a choice, and that is to be the peaceful warrior or the s-t starter. I don't know which one I'd enjoy doing. I don't want to ruin anybody's life, but a lot of those bitches need to be slapped in the face."

Still, McCarthy didn't reveal if she might be interested in the job, or if she is just how strong her interest might be. She also didn't say if she has had any conversations with Bravo Network execs about the possibilities.

McCarthy was fired from "The View" after just one season and openly speculated she felt that she was let go because of show creators' desires for more diversity.

"ABC wanted to make sure the table was diverse," she said. "So they consider when Rosie [O'Donnell] was coming back it was too liberal, and they wanted a conservative and they wanted a Latina, so they got Rosie Perez and their Elisabeth [Hasselbeck], if you will, so that way it was a balanced table with more diversity."

Since then, the show has undergone yet another shakeup, with O'Donnell, Perez and Nicolle Wallace (the "Elisabeth" that McCarthy referred to) all leaving the show after a season or less.

In addition to her radio show, McCarthy currently stars in the show "Donnie Loves Jenny" with newlywed husband Donnie Wahlberg.
