In the last episode of "Scream," police are thought to have their killer. Next week's episode is titled 'The Dance" and will air on MTV on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 10 p.m., according to TV Guide.

In the last episode, Seth Branson (Bobby Campo) was arrested following an altercation that left Brooke wounded by the killer. But there were some mysterious circumstances behind it.

According to International Business Times, there are a lot of circumstances that could or could not lead to Branson being the killer.

The promo video for the next episode was revealing for those who saw the last episode. What we know so far is that Brooke was on the verge of being filleted by the killer after she hooked up with Branson in the school theater. He left to check out the source of the noise they heard, and the next thing she knows, she's being chased and attacked.

She finally ended up in Branson's arms, which made her suspect him as the masked killer that was chasing her.

The police immediately took him into custody. The sheriff says they were confident they had their killer, but then the promo cuts to a scene where the masked killer sneaks up behind him. So that leads fans to believe the killer is still on the loose.

In the original movie back in 1996, the real killer was mistakenly arrested by police, released, then later revealed to be one of two people that were committing the murders.

If the series is following the original formula laid out by the Wes Craven film, then that means a second killer is on the loose, and he makes waves while Branson is in jail to prove his innocence, only to later reveal himself as part of the murderous conspiracy the whole time. Of course, that is just a parallel theory.
