Battlefield 4 Download & Gameplay: Naval Strike DLS Features New Carrier Assault Mode
Cinemablend reports Battlefield 4's third expansion pack, Naval Strike, will feature the Carrier Assault Mode that is reminiscent of the Titan Mode in Battlefield 2142.
In the futuristic setting of BF 2142's Titan Mode, players engage in battle to destroy their opponent's Titan warships. To win the game, players can either take control of the anti-Titan missile silos in the battlefield or board enemy warships using assault pods to destroy their reactors.
According to Battlefield's website, Naval Strike features five new weapons, ten assignments, and an amphibious hovercraft and two new gadgets: the 3GL or three grenade launcher attachment for the Assault class, and the Anti-Heli Mine for Engineers.
Naval Strike also has four new multiplayer maps. These are the Lost Islands, Wave Breaker, Nansha Strike, and Operation Mortar.
Here is the exact description of the maps from the website:
"Blow open a crashed passenger plane and capture fishing villages across the tropical Lost Islands. Drop a submarine on your foes as you infiltrate a naval base or rush between shipping docks and rocky islands on the massive Wave Breaker map. Wage war across stormy seas in the largest ocean stretch in a Battlefield map yet with Nansha Strike. Storm an abandoned cliff-side resort, or get lost in the breathtaking vistas in Operation Mortar."
Naval Strike will be available in March for Premium members. Premium subscribers are entitled to "4 additional expansion packs, 12 Battlepacks, weekly exclusive content, priority position in server queues, and much more."
Battlefield 4's fourth expansion pack, Dragon's Teeth will focus on urban warfare against the Chinese Army and is scheduled for release in summer of this year. The fifth expansion, Final Stand will also be unveiled this summer but details of its gameplay are still unknown.
Battlefield 4 was released on the last quarter of 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
