The first Android-powered Blackberry smartphone is coming soon and it will have both a physical keyboard and a touchscreen.

The Blackberry that will utilize Android is being called the Blackberry Venice, Pocket Lint reports. Blackberry smartphones have always been known for their physical keyboards, and the Venice will still offer that.

Since the Android operating system uses a touchscreen for clicking on items, the Blackberry Venice will also have a touchscreen. The touchscreen will also offer a touchscreen keyboard like other Android devices. This means that the Blackberry Venice will be a dual keyboard smartphone.

When the physical keyboard is not in use or, if users prefer to use the touchscreen keyboard instead, it can be hidden by sliding it under the display. Slider devices have been used in the past for keypads.

A Blackberry executive surprised the crowd at the 2015 Mobile World Congress (MWC) earlier this year by showing off a dual-curved, touchscreen display device with a slide out keyboard.

The Blackberry Venice has been rumored for quite a while. First, in April, there was a leaked photo of a device that had curved edges, a front-facing speaker and a touchscreen. The device was rumored to have specs like a 5.1-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560, an octa-core processor, 16 megapixel (MP) rear-facing camera, a 3,560 mAh battery and a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Evan Blass, a well known leaker of devices, posted a leaked photo of the Blackberry Venice in July. The photo showed that the device was running Android. It also showed off the unique curved edges and the speaker bar on the front of the device. This leaked picture matched the photo from April and the device shown off at the 2015 MWC.

The most recent specs for the Venice show it having a 5.4-inch Quad-HD display, a hexa-core processor, an 18 MP rear-facing camera and 3 GB of RAM.

Blass predicts that the Blackberry Venice will be released in November, possibly Nov. 16.
