The CW has released the first teaser promo to the second season of "The Flash."

The new promo is short and concise, and it has some shots of the characters that will likely be seen in the show. There are three villains shown, but it is unclear who they are and if they will be a big part of the show. At the end of the promo there is a hint of the new flash logo.

Along with the promo, the CW also released a fall preview which included some of shots of "The Flash" as well as shots from "Jane the Virgin," "Arrow," "The Vampire Diaries" and "Supernatural."

"The Flash" is currently in production with casting currently underway. The show is one of the most anticipated of the fall season because the first season was a huge hit and critically admired. It even won Grant Gustin some accolades for his portrayal of Barry Allen.

There is very little known about the story of the second season, but many speculate that the season will begin right where it left off and will continue to reveal more about Barry Allen and his alter ego "The Flash." It will also give Allen a new female crush. The season is also expected to feature other hero team ups in the same way the series did on the final episode. Additionally it is expected that the show will tie into the upcoming spinoff series "Legends of Tomorrow." However, details are few and sparse.

According to IMDB the show tells the story of "Barry Allen, who wakes up nine months after he was struck by lightning and discovers that the bolt gave him the power of super speed."

"The Flash" also stars Tom Cavanagh, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, Candice Patton and Carlos Valdes.

"The Flash Season 2" premieres on Oct. 6 on the CW.
