NBA 2K16 is making several additions to the MyGM and MyLeague modes in the game, according to Bleacher Report.

Players will now have even more control of their own franchises. The MyLeague mode was already an excellent multiplayer franchise mode and the MyGM mode was already one of the best single player franchise modes available in any game. Both modes have gotten even better with more options and expansions.

Players will be able to relocate their team to almost anywhere in the U.S. Selecting a city for the team will be more involved than just choosing a new area in the country.

Executive producer Erick Boenisch explains how players can help decide where to move their team.

"We have created complete metro profiles for most of the big North American cities. These profiles include the population of the metropolitan area, the income of the people residing in this area, and how many TV homes there are in the market. We take these numbers and boil them down into three very simple meters for you:

  • How the Median Income of the market affects the future financial success of your franchise.
  • The overall population of the metropolitan area in comparison to other relocation city options.
  • The overall fan interest of you moving your team to their city."

Players can modify their team's logos and colors. Players can either choose the preloaded logos and colors already in the game or they can head to the 2K website and upload their own logo. The logos will be placed throughout the arena and on the team's uniforms.

Arenas also can be customized. Players will be able to make changes on how the arena will look, how many it will seat, where the seats will go and more.

Players will head into the offseason with many decisions to make. The computer controlled teams will have different philosophies. Some will be looking to trade players, and others will be keeping their current roster of players. Every team will have a "team state" characteristic that will tell players how to interact with them.

An important feature in NBA 2K16 will be hiring staff. Players will have to hire an entire staff. This could mean talking to other teams' coaches and trying to convince them to coach for the player's team.

As players progress in their careers, young players and rookies will join their team. NBA 2K16 is offering a summer league mode to allow players to get the best look at these players.

With all of these additions to MyLeague and MyGM mode, NBA 2K16 could offer the best career mode yet in a sports game.
