A theme that has spread across humanity from the beginning of civilization has been the belief in God.

In the Season 2 finale of "The 100," the apparent big bad A.L.I.E. had revealed herself to Jaha and now, he looks at her as a messiah.

According to an interview on Entertainment Tonight with executive producer Jason Rothenberg, there is more to the story than one might think.

First of all, A.L.I.E. is a presence of light, a hologram. She is a not a human being and she seemed to be both the creator and the destroyer. Season three is fully expected to be an origins season that gives answers to questions about the apocalypse.

"Jaha thinks he's been called for a higher purpose. He's been searching for that and believing in that almost a divine path the entire season," Rothenberg told ET. "By the way, it's not a City of Light -- it's a misnomer -- she's made of light. A.L.I.E, by the way, is an acronym which we'll at some point reveal. She is light that he's found and does he think he's found this divine thing? She had intimate intelligence, she had access to everything in the world, she ended the world."

So now, the big question is whether or not Jaha will see her as the divine entity that he must worship or the evil entity that he must fight to save humanity? Fans already know that he's been searching for this type of divine plan all along, but does that mean the A.L.I.E. entity could be using him for her alternative agenda?

"Does Jaha look at her as being the dark figure that he needs to fight against or does he join up? We'll have to see how that plays out in season three," Rothenberg said.

Season 3 will still feature the Grounders and fans will have to wait until the mid-season premiere to get better answers to their questions. But you can catch up on last season on the CW website.
