Having a smartphone that can store massive amounts of data always comes in handy. With the onset of current technological breakthroughs, the days of storing then deleting apps, documents, songs, and movies to make room for newer data are soon to be extinct.

Current smartphones let users have a mini Library of Congress in the palm of their hands. This is definitely true with the ASUS ZenFone 2 which released in January 2015. Max variants of the Zenfone 2 are capable of storing up to 128 GB of data on 4 GB of RAM. But to those Zenfone fans still looking for more space on their handsets, ASUS has just the thing.  

The Taiwan-based tech company has just unveiled a variant of the Zenfone 2 that tops the already impressive storage capacity of its predecessors.

Asus showcased the Zenfone 2 "Deluxe Special Edition" in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The event was billed as "Incredible Comes to Latin America."

Techies pointed out that the device is just another maxed out version of the second generation Zenfone. Aside from its 256 GB internal storage, the device boasts nothing more to differentiate it from the regular Zenfone 2. Nonetheless, twice more the capacity makes all the difference on its own.

The ZenFone 2 "Deluxe Special Edition" will come in two Ergonomic Arc back casings. Fans could have the "Drift Silver" casing embossed with multiple polygon shapes or they could opt for the "High-Tech Carbon Night," a traditional black textured cover.  

U.S. based fans will have to wait for further developments, though, as the ZenFone 2 "Deluxe Special Edition" is set to launch in Brazil first in September with no hints yet as to when it will releae in other countries.

"We are very excited to bring our latest ZenFone models to the Latin American market," ASUS CEO Jerry Shen said in a statement.

As for the upcoming device's specs, it is basically a ZenFone 2 with maxed out internal storage.
