Taylor Swift Songs: '1989' Singer Teases 'Wildest Dreams' Video, Announces Premiere Date [Watch]
Taylor Swift is making a habit of premiering videos during award shows. The singer, who premiered her famous "Bad Blood" video at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, will now be doing it again at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Swift took to Twitter on Aug. 23 to announce to her legion of Swifties that she would be premiering the video for her song "Wildest Dreams," off of her "1989" album, on Aug. 30 during the MTV VMA pre-show.
The star released a clip that features a safari-like theme for the video and reveals actor Scott Eastwood, son of legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood, as the singer's love interest, reported E! Online.
The video will mark her third collaboration with music video director Joseph Khan, who directed "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood."
Khan revealed the news on his Twitter account. "When I said I was on vacation, I lied. I was in Africa shooting a #ToothPasteCommercial," Kahn tweeted. "Which is WILDEST DREAMS."
The 25-year-old singer's announcement isn't the only "1989"-related news making headlines. Swift keeps surprising fans with a variety of celebrity guest appearances on tour.
According to Vanity Fair, on her Aug. 22 show, Swift surprised LA fans by bringing basketball star Kobe Bryant on stage and performed with One Republic's Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote and produced tracks on the "1989" album.
On Aug. 23, her third show at the Staples Center, Swift brought out Grammy-winning singer Mary J. Blige to perform "Family Affair" and featured surprise appearances from actors Chris Rock, Matt Leblanc, model Sean O'Pry, who starred in Swift's "Blank Space" video, and "Orange Is The New Black" star Uzo Aduba, who performed a song with Swift.
A variety of Los Angeles-based stars were also in attendance at the concert. Actresses Salma Hayek, Hilary Duff, who tweeted support for Swift, Nina Dobrev, Zendaya Coleman, model Gigi Hadid, and singer Joe Jonas all were spotted attending the sold-out concert.
