‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ Releases Hilarious New Trailer [Watch]
The TV serialization of the cult-hit trilogy "Evil Dead" franchise titled "Ash vs Evil Dead" is moving even closer now with a release date of Halloween this year. The series, which is a horror-comedy, has just released a new trailer, according to Deadline.
The series will essentially pick up just before the reboot film and bring back its most popular hero character Ash (Bruce Campbell). This time, Ash has fallen victim to one of nature's cruelest tricks -- time.
He has been dormant for many years as a retail clerk and put on several pounds in his restful time. But nothing quite compares to the character's ever-present wit and charm as he emerges once again as the hero who must fight off legions of "Deadites" that have plagued the earth again.
His character has not been seen since that last installment titled "Army of Darkness" way back in 1992. That was about the same time the franchise started incorporating humor into its horrifying sequences of grotesque violence.
But now that Ash is safely back from the Dark Ages and embarking on his golden years, the dead have arisen once again. This time, he will be joined by "Xena" star Lucy Lawless in what is guaranteed to become another cult hit on the small screen, debuting on Oct. 30 this year on premium cable network Starz.
For those who have not seen it yet, the new trailer stays close to the original one released at Comic-Con this year in San Diego, just with a few different scenes. See it below.
