Being born on Valentine's Day is quite a blessing, especially if you are Simon Cowell's son. Hours after he has been born, baby Cowell already had his photo published on Twitter, his birth turning into trending news on the web. Daily News reports that this early, the baby boy already has his very own entourage.

Here are Top 5 things you need to know about the adorable little tyke:

  1. He is named Eric Phillip Cowell, after his grandfather. Apparently, former X Factor judge Simon Cowell enjoyed a close relationship with his dad, Eric Selig Phillip Cowell, a property mogul who enjoyed Ascot races and doted on his sons, according to Mail Online.
  1. Entertainment Wise reports that Mom Lauren Silverman gave birth to the adorable baby boy in Lenox Hill Hospital on February 14. Weighing a healthy 6 pounds and seven ounces, little Eric appears healthy and handsome, facts bragged by his dad Simon on Twitter.
  1. The baby is Jewish, on both sides of the family. His grandfather Eric Selig had Jewish roots, while mom Lauren is a practicing Jew. She even reportedly has influenced the American Idol judge to consider Judaism, reports Mail Online. Simon has shown an interest in the faith, donating            over $130,000 to a charity that supports Israeli soldiers.

Dad Simon's first words for his son had been, "I've waited all my life for you," reports Entertainment Wise.  The music mogul was reportedly emotional at the birth of his boy, shedding some tears of joy as he and his family welcomed the little one.  Simon allegedly turned towards girlfriend Lauren in that special moment, and declared that it was the best day of his life.

Simon is reportedly eager to bring young Eric to England, for the little one to meet his grandmother and his dad's friends. For now though, the baby will have to enjoy New York's Upper East Side with his mom and dad. Rumor has it that the British bachelor will finally propose to Lauren this year. 

Meanwhile, there's no word yet as to when Eric Phillip would meet his older brother Adam (8 years old), from Lauren's recently divorced marriage with ex-husband Andrew.
