Police Investigator Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) will find themselves in a plane on their way to the sunny side of the West Coast in this week's episode of "Rizzoli & Isles" as they investigate a murder case in their Boston hometown.

According to the official synopsis of episode 11 titled "Fake It 'Til You Make It," both characters will be flying to the "City of Angels" to investigate a crime that seemed to have something to do with their own case.

"A body turns up in Boston with an apparent connection to another murder in Los Angeles, so Jane and Maura jet off to the West Coast to investigate. Meanwhile, Angela and Korsak plan a double date with Kiki and Ron," wrote TV Guide.

The duo's case in Boston will have them packing for Los Angeles as they search for the connection and probable suspect and motive of the two killings. Maura seemed to have fallen in love with the place, which is a stark contrast of the chilly weather oftentimes experienced in Boston.

At one point, Maura asked her partner if she has ever considered living in the city, which is very popular among tourists. Jane, on the other hand, seemed lost.

While some will be thrilled at the prospect of heading to Los Angeles and frolicking under the sun with sand on their feet, Jane dreaded the idea.

In the promo video, she expressed her lack of thrill in visiting the city. Jane claimed that "L.A. is so not her style," and this has perhaps added to her stress in flying over to investigate a case and find out if the two crimes are indeed connected and committed by the same person.

As the two partners fly off in search of a killer, love is in the air in Boston, as the episode will finally introduce the girlfriend of Korsak (Bruce McGill), Kiki (Christina Chang). She was formerly his life coach.

The couple will be out on a double date with Jane's mother, Angela (Lorraine Bracco) and her new beau, Ron (Gregory Harrison).

According to another report on TV Guide, the show producers have finally decided to spend time in developing the couple's love stories as, "They're both nice relationship stories and we love seeing the two of them happy."

The penultimate episode of "Rizzoli & Isles" Season 6 before the summer break will air on Tuesday, August 25 at 9 p.m. on the TNT Channel.
