Following the release of the new documentary that chronicled Kurt Cobain's life, the nostalgia seemed to flow through the air and hit close to home for his widow, Courtney Love.

According to The Huffington Post, the singer and actress recently posted a few heart-warming pictures on Instagram to commemorate the late singer just after their daughter's 23rd birthday.

Love and Cobain's daughter Frances Bean Cobain recently executive produced the documentary "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck" with filmmaker Brett Morgen.

Love was the front woman for rock band Hole and married Cobain, with whom she had daughter Frances Bean before Cobain's self-inflicted gunshot wound ended his life in 1994.

Among the Instagram photos Love shared were shots of the small family of three in what appeared to be the happier moments of their young marriage.

She shared the photos with touching words that appeared to strike a chord from the heart of the once-troubled singer.

"My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories," one of the photos read.

Another was an incredible shot of the three side-by-side in their bed, with young Frances Bean playfully holding her tiny arm up.

"Makes me feel so sad. Our baby is all grown up now. Jesus Kurt look at her face, what on earth were you thinking..!?!? God I miss you, we all miss you #family #memories #turnbacktime #lovehim," she wrote on the other photo.

Cobain's three studio albums, released with his band Nirvana, went on to reach legendary success while the singer was still alive. But the posthumous success of his talented music has lived on in headlines even to this day, 21 years later.

As for the younger generations that were born after Cobain died, they are now old enough to legally vote, get a mortgage and even drink alcohol. That kind of staying power speaks volumes to how much influence Cobain's music has had with the people of Generation X and Millenials alike.
