The back and forth between characters in the latest episode of "Scream," titled "The Dance," clearly shows that the town and its illustrious band of detective teenagers is no closer to figuring out who the killer is than they were two episodes ago, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The town has been on edge for quite a while now, but when the sheriff decides to go ahead and let the festivities of Halloween go on, the investigations by Emma and Audrey, among others, kicks into high gear.

First of all, the sheriff has a suspect in custody and he is fairly confident he has his man. He presses Branson during his incarceration but hits a wall when Branson lawyers up.

In the meantime, Emma and Audrey find the clues they have been looking for when Audrey mysteriously comes up with a password to Rachel's cloud account. Given that all of her files went missing, this is a big break for the teens as to narrowing done who a possible killer might be.

The plot thickens when they see video on the cloud of Kieran and Nina at a bar, which clearly indicates that he lied when the said he didn't know her before. This becomes even more revealing when Kieran and Nina are filmed leaving the bar by Rachel. The video clearly shows it and one other thing -- Kieran saw her filming them. This could be a pretty good indicator of why Rachel's death was a staged suicide and puts Kieran on the hook for it.

His possible guilt only thickens when Piper confirms that when she confronted Cassie about who Brandon James son is, she pointed to a picture of Kieran.

Not so fast though. Branson, who has his own mysterious activities to account for, had escaped from jail. This happens at about the same time the sheriff has been whacked on the head with a fire poker and is presumed to be as good as dead, considering his image came up on a video screen with his bloody body. But like all good "Scream" movies, Kieran is conspicuously absent from Emma when it happens.
