An overzealous cameraman nearly did to Usain Bolt what top U.S. sprinter Justin Gatlin hasn't been able to do throughout competition at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.

Just seconds after besting Gatlin in the 200m finals and as he mingled with fans during his victory lap, an unidentified cameraman nearly took Bolt out on a runaway Segway.

The Guardian reports the man lost control of his Segway and ran directly into Bolt, instantly knocking him off his feet. On hitting the ground, the Jamaican sprinter flipped over to get back on his feet and then briefly held his left leg.

Fortunately for all, the 10-time world champion was not seriously injured in the mishap and before long was back mugging for pics with adoring fans and even checking on the cameraman's well-being.

"It didn't actually hit me in my Achilles, it hit me in my calf area," Bolt said. "It's alright, I will get over it. Never a doubt [for the relays], never a doubt. I am just going to get it massaged, ice it up a bit and I should be fine."

As for the race itself, the win marked the second time in five days Bolt had nipped Gatlin, adding to his photo-finish victory in the 100m.

At the end of the night, Gatlin tried taking it all in stride, turning his attention to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio where he hopes to have yet another shot at his rival. However, Bolt won the race in 19.55 seconds, his best time this year.

Watch the race:

"I'm the oldest man in the field and still running, running pretty well," he said. "It feels good to go against [Bolt]. I'm just going to prepare myself for next year, for the Olympics and come out even stronger."
