'Real Housewives' Star Kim Richards in Talks With VH1 to Return to Reality TV?
Kim Richards is rumored to be in talks with VH1 officials about possibly returning to the world of reality TV.
Radar Online reports "Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn" filming has already commenced with Dina and Michael Lohan, and producers have now also offered the former "Real Housewives of Beverley Hills" star a spot in the cast.
In fact, reports are the only thing that has slowed Richards from signing on the dotted line is the stern objection of her sister Kyle and her children.
"Kim wasn't interested in the concept, or what she would be doing, but needed to earn a paycheck," said a source. "She approached her kids about the proposal, and asked them to reach out to Kyle, because they aren't talking."
The source added the family is opposed because they are convinced Kim needs to continue getting treatment and is not far enough along in her rehab to be bothered with such demanding distractions.
Just last week, the 50-year-old Richards abruptly left yet another rehab facility and is now rumored to be hunkering down with friends somewhere in the L.A. area.
"Her family refuses to allow Kim to live with them because she is in denial about the addiction," said a source. "They will no longer be enablers to Kim's whims."
Richards' latest struggles began in April when she was taken into custody for public intoxication at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge. Soon after that, she went missing after attending her daughter's wedding in Mexico.
Richards was fired from "Real Housewives" earlier this month after she was nabbed at an area Target trying to steal around $600 in merchandise.
Recently, doctors placed her under a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold, but she was released after being held the maximum of 72 hours.
A source later added everyone is "worried about Kim, but until she agrees to get help, there is nothing they can do."
