'Bones' Season 11 Spoilers: Betty White to Make Guest Appearance, Who Will She Play?
Fans of CBS' long-running comedy "Bones" will have a lot to look forward to when the series kicks off its 11th season on Fox next month, including a guest appearance from Betty White.
According to TVLine, the veteran actress has been cast to play the part of Dr. Beth Mayer, one of the best forensic anthropologists in the world within the past 50 years. However, despite her decades of experience, she is going to join the Jeffersonian as squintern.
White's character is described as an accomplished and sharp expert who is brought in to assist in a murder linked to fantasy football since that is one of her areas of expertise. Dr. Mayer will also clash with Emily Deschanel's Brennan during the case.
On Friday, the 93-year-old actress announced that she will appear on the show via Twitter, writing: "Wanted to let you know first that I will be joining the @BONESonFOX family for an upcoming episode this fall! #Bones."
Executive producer Michael Peterson revealed that Brennan and Booth will welcome a baby boy in the upcoming season, reports Entertainment Weekly. The married couple already has a daughter named Christine, so it will be interesting to see how their newborn son will change the dynamic of their family.
"I won't say a name, but Brennan is going to have a boy and we're going to have fun with [her] as a mom," Peterson told EW. "Brennan is going to become the homeroom mom for Christine, which is just very fun for us -- the stories about what it's like to have Brennan be involved in school in that way."
"Even with all the help that I get, I find it very challenging to have two kids," she continues. "Trying to make sure you have the time for both of them, and juggling all the different things. You have another child who has activities and school and all that. I think you'll see storylines revolving around that as the season goes on."
Season 11 of "Bones" will premiere on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
