This has got to be the most surprising cast addition of the season yet. Actor Gary Busey is all geared up to set the dance floor on fire as he announced his participation on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Tuesday night.

According to ABC News, the 71-year-old actor entered the late night show's studio atop a horse drawing thunderous applause from the audience. True to his boisterous and magnetic personality, Busey was dressed in flashy attire in his "Jimmy Kimmel Live" guesting.

""I am so proud to be here with you announcing this incredible mile changing thing," the actor said. When asked what spurred him on to join the hit television competition, Busey answered, "I don't have anything else to do."

It's as good a reason as any. After all of Busey's hard work in projects including "Entourage", "Celebrity Big Brother," "American Dad" and "Two and a Half Men," he deserves to let loose on the dance floor and get a shot at winning the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.

It won't be a stroll to the top though, with a stacked roster and talented competition such as Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza, Nick Carter, Hayes Grier, Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, Chaka Khan and Andy Grammer.

All the celebrities are pumped up, and even the professional dancers can't wait for the season to get started. In an interview with E! Online, Mark Ballas remained secretive on his season partner, but opened up about the celebrities he would like to be paired with in the future.

"Shakira is always one of my top picks," Ballas said, naming one of the music industry's most renowned movers and shakers. "Jennifer Aniston is one, Ellie Goulding is another."

Keeping in line with his dream big-name partners, he added, "Taylor Swift maybe? Taylor Swift would be a great one. I think I would need some really high shoes for myself, but if Taylor Swift did the show, I think this is the one time the height doesn't matter."

According E! Online, some of the factors in the pairing process of the stars and pros are height, size and personality, among others. Producers assign the partners, and the celebrities and pro dancers on the roster do not get a say in the selection.

"Dancing with the Stars" season 21 kicks off on Monday, Sept. 14.
