Zombies are everywhere these days, but in the beginning was "Resident Evil." Take a walk down memory lane with the new Capcom treat: a "Resident Evil Origins Collection" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.

According to GameSpot, the latest "Resident Evil" HD remaster, which has already been released, will be part of the bundle. The collection will also feature the HD edition of the renowned prequel, "Resident Evil Zero."

This new bundle will go over well with the gaming community, with the remaster earning positive feedback all around when it was released early this year. It's not all nostalgia talking; the original game does still offer some merits, albeit a bit dated, even with all the advancements, bells and whistles that the newer installations can offer.

GameSpot's review praised the simplicity of the game, saying, "All the same, there's a beautiful simplicity to Resident Evil HD that serves as a reminder that the best mysteries don't need convoluted stories to be enthralling. Later Resident Evil games would add more viruses and unnecessary subplots, but the original allows that menacing mansion to do most of the talking."

Meanwhile, Philip Kollar of Polygon is aware that his enjoyment has been greatly due to the new remaster tugging at his nostalgia.

"Resident Evil may not live up to many modern standards. It may leave me swearing up a storm as it reminds me of the cruel, unpolished design of older games. But it also brings back wonderful memories of late nights in front of my PS1, getting scared by zombie dogs jumping through windows. It allows me to relive some fond moments from my past, and it includes just enough visual improvements and control tweaks to make it the best form for doing so," he wrote.

Perhaps it's the kind words of reviewers that is the reason behind another "Resident Evil" classic making its way to the hands of gamers. Recently, Capcom also announced the soon-to-be-released "Resident Evil 2 HD," according to Video Gamer.

The new "Resident Evil Zero" will also mark the hotly anticipated return of Wesker, to the delight of many loyalists. Albert Wesker can once again be played instead of Billy. He used to be playable in "Resident Evil: Deadly Silence," "Mercenaries" of the fourth and fifth installations and "The Umbrella Chronicles," according to VG247. Now, Wesker once again stars alongside Rebecca Champers as they tackle the outbreak that threatens everyone.

The "Resident Evil Origins Collection" is slated for release on Jan. 19, 2016 for North America while the Europe crowd will get their hands on it on Jan. 22, 2016.
