Facebook is very popular among iOS users. According to a report released Wednesday from App Annie, the Facebook app and a few other apps it makes are very high up on the list.

The most downloaded app on the list is the Facebook app and right below it is the app that allows Facebook users to chat from their mobile devices Facebook Messenger.

The top game in terms of downloads is King's Candy Crush Saga. The best game in terms of revenue was Supercell's Clash of Clans. 

App Annie was able to create these rankings by going back to July 2010 when it first started tracking App Store data. It used newer technology to determine which apps were used the most.

In the top 10, Facebook, Apple and Google dominate with the most apps. Google's YouTube is No. 3 and Google Maps is No. 8. Apple's Find My iPhone is No. 7 and the iTunes U app is No. 10. Besides the Facebook app (No. 1) and Facebook Messenger (No. 2), Facebook's Instagram (No. 4) and the WhatsApp Messenger app (No. 6) made the top 10 as well.

The only other two companies to make the top 10 were Microsoft (Skype at No. 5) and Twitter (No. 9). 

These apps are all mostly more than four years old, but people continue to download them in millions per month. This means that these apps are being downloaded right when users get their first iOS devices and also when they upgrade to a new model.

The top three games by download are Candy Crush Saga, Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds. Candy Crush is very popular around the entire world with it appearing as the top daily game in 100 different countries. Despite being three years old, Candy Crush is downloaded by millions each month. 

The word-building game Words with Friends earned the 10th spot for the most downloaded game.
