The online subscription streaming market for movies and TV series has just gotten tighter with Amazon announcing their customers can now enjoy their favorite shows offline by downloading the content to their Apple and Android devices.

In today's streaming market, there is no shortage of content available on the web for subscription customers. Netflix started the trend and is now considered the biggest company in the market.

But now, after Amazon quickly followed Netflix and added "Prime," the service is allowing its customers to download their content and watch it offline, creating quite the game changer, and the customers in the streaming market have wondered how Netflix will respond.

Although this does sound like an attractive offer, members also need to be aware that the content available for download is limited, according to Business Wire. It seems to include all of their original content like "Transparent" and "Mozart in the Jungle." It also mentions that some big movies are available, such as "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Prime service has some added bonuses, including free two-day shipping on Amazon purchases.

They eventually added other services to their subscription plans and now offer Amazon Prime Music, which comes with the overall Prime subscription that costs $99 per year.

But in terms of accessibility, there is also another limit to this new offering by Amazon. At the current time, this service is only available on iPhones, iPads and Android devices. That basically means it is a mobile offering and is not available to desktop computers and laptops, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Those who wish to utilize the new perk can go to the Amazon website and download the app for the service.
