British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar has released the specifications and features of its upcoming 2016 Jaguar XF sedan. Among the new things car enthusiasts can look forward to with the new vehicle are its upgraded sleeker look and new diesel option.

When the carmaker announced the arrival of its upcoming 2016 XF sedan in April, the company promised a "unique blend of design, technology, and refinement to the segment," said the official press release via their website.

However, it seems that not all car enthusiasts were excited that time with the new vehicle, considering that the British carmaker is known for having average cars that are expensive compared to the other German makers such as BMW, Audi and Mercedez-Benz.

This time, Jaguar made sure that all eyes will be on the new XF as the company offered different options to different drivers at a lower price.

According to Digital Trends, the 2016 Jaguar XF will come in three variations: entry-level, mid-level and sports edition.

The XF 35i Premium is the starter version, which comes with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine. The car has a maximum of 340 horsepower with 332 pound-feet of torque. The British carmaker also added a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox and the standard infotainment system that will be included in all XF versions.

The XF 35i Premium will set back a car owner by $52,895.

A mid-level XF 35t is also available for $57,545 while the sports version, XF 35t R-Sports can be copped at $61,645.

For those will opt for the high-end type, there is also the XF S that has the same turbocharged V6 engine but can be powered up to 380 horsepower. The top of the line edition will be available for $63,695.

A turbodiesel version is said to be coming early next year, reported Car and Driver. It will sell for less than $50,000. It has also been reported that when the vehicle hits the showroom this winter, only the XF 35t and XF S will be made available initially.

The new Jaguar XF also boasts a lighter body with the use of aluminum alloy in the hood and front fenders while the cross-car beam and front-end carrier are made from magnesium alloy, as per Jaguar's press release.

Having this new unibody brings the vehicle to a weight of 265 pounds less than the 2015 version. An all-wheel drive option can also be added to the package with an additional $3,000 charge.

The 2016 Jaguar XF will be released beginning winter of 2015.
