Apple's next iPhone is no more than a few days away. While the exterior of the phone is expected to look just like the iPhone 6, the next iPhone will likely get several internal improvements.

First, the next iPhone is expected to be called the iPhone 6s, Tech Radar reports. It will also come in a large screen version called the iPhone 6s Plus. Both phones are expected to be announced at Apple's special press event Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The announcement event on Sept. 9 could lead to an on-sale date of Sept. 18, meaning iPhone fans won't have to wait long to buy one.

Even though the iPhone 6s will look just like the iPhone 6, it will made of a stronger material. Apple is expected to use the Series 7000 Aluminum Alloy for the new iPhones. This is the same material that is used in the Apple Watch Sport. With the stronger aluminum, the new iPhones are not expected to suffer the bending problems that plagued the iPhone 6 Plus when it was placed in owners pockets.

The screen on the iPhone 6s should be a little tougher if Apple chooses to use sapphire glass. The large screen on the iPhone 6s Plus might also have a 2K resolution. The screens could also get Force Touch, a technology used on the Apple Watch to perform different functions based on the amount of pressure put on the screen.

The iPhone 6s will be the first Apple device to utilize the new A9 processor. The A9 chip is expected to be smaller, more powerful and more power efficient than the A8 processor. With the power efficiency, big improvements could be realized in battery life.

An exciting new camera is expected for the iPhone 6s. Apple is expected to make a leap from an 8 megapixel (MP) camera to a 12 MP camera. With this new camera, near DSLR-quality pictures should be attainable.

With a stronger build, a sapphire display, a brand new chip and an improved camera, the iPhone 6s will be the best iPhone yet.
