By now, fans of the hit Fox comedy show "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" all know that Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) has been bumped up, and his new replacement for captain at the Nine-Nine precinct will be portrayed by "Saturday Night Live" alum Bill Hader. But according to Entertainment Weekly, Hader's comedy is going to be a borderline psychiatric explosion.

What fans are sure to see is, even though Holt will be in a new position, he will still have a big presence on the show. The comedy between him and Andy Samberg, who portrays Jake Peralta on the show, is classic and seamless. It flows too well not to have them interacting as a cohesive unit of comedy in the series.

But season 3 means that Hader is coming in as Captain Seth Dozerman. Hader, who is best known for his stints on "SNL" and as the leading man in "Trainwreck," has proven comedic chops under his belt. For him to play a character that is borderline crazy is enough to bring the house down with laughter.

Samberg spoke to EW about Hader's guest-starring role on the show next season.

"Bill is funny as hell in the role," Samberg told EW. "Dozerman is a borderline lunatic, so in a lot of ways he fits in well at the Nine-Nine. It was great to see Bill and work together again. It's basically 'Laser Cats' set in the past with a way bigger budget."

The two SNL alums have spent several years on the stage together, so bringing them back under one roof may prove to be just like the old days. But the Dozerman character alone is a recipe for great comedy, according to Samberg.

"Captain Dozerman is a severely anal-retentive personality," Samberg said. "He is not an obvious fit with the precinct -- and Jake in particular -- but Jake does his best to acclimate."

"B99" returns to Fox on Sept. 27 at 8:30 p.m. EDT.
