The first week of the 2015 NFL season is almost here. The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers will face of on Thursday Night Football. Fantasy Football owners are gearing up for another exciting year. We all know about the elite superstars, but we must also stay on top of our waiver wire to ensure league victories.

Here are five players you should consider drafting off the waiver wire for Week 1:

1. Knile Davis

Jamaal Charles is the man in Kansas City, but don't sleep on their No. 2 running back. Knile Davis played in all 16 games for the Chiefs last season, providing big power plays up the middle. Davis only had 463 total rushing yards last season, but he had six rushing touchdowns. Andy Reid knows Charles needs a little rest every now and then, and Davis can provide big carries in the red zone. Red zone equals touchdowns, and touchdowns equal big points for Fantasy Football owners. The Chiefs take on the Houston Texans in Week 1.

2. Larry Donnell

The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys will open up their 2015 seasons against one another, and they love to put up a lot of points when they face off. Odell Beckham Jr. will get plenty of looks, but Victor Cruz's status remains uncertain. Tight end Larry Donnell had a great year last season with six touchdown catches, the second most on the team. Last season, Donnell had seven catches for 90 yards against the Cowboys defense. Eli Manning appears to have a good relationship with Donnell, so he should get his fair share of catches.

3. Denard Robinson

The Jacksonville Jaguars won't make the playoffs this year. They probably won't even beat the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. However, Denard Robinson can rack up some big points in garbage time. The former quarterback had 582 rushing yards and four touchdowns last season, which is more impressive than Trent Richardson. Robinson even caught 23 balls last season. Less than five percent of Fantasy Football owners have him on their roster, so he will more than likely be available for Sunday if you need some ground help.

4. Terrance Williams

All eyes will be on Dez Bryant, but Terrance Williams is the guy you can get at a big bargain. Williams had eight touchdown grabs last season, second only to Bryant's 16. Williams won't demand double teams because the Giants' secondary -- which is pretty bad -- will be watching out for Bryant's deep threat at all times. Williams should have a solid day at home against a fierce NFC East rival, receiving passes from proven quarterback Tony Romo. Jason Witten and Cole Beasley will also help relieve pressure for Williams.

5. Teddy Bridgewater

The Minnesota Vikings have a pretty good young quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater had an 85 passer rating last season as a rookie quarterback, and now he gets Adrian Peterson back. The Vikings will have to travel to the Bay to face the San Francisco 49ers, but the 49ers have lost a ton of talented defensive players this offseason. If you're having quarterback issues in Week 1, Bridgewater could be a good addition. The Vikings and 49ers play each other on Monday Night Football.
