WWE Raw Spoilers, Preview for Sept 7, 2015: Confirmed - Seth Rollins in Two PPV Matches
"WWE Monday Night Raw" will put the "labor" in Labor Day as the crew performs live from Baltimore.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has two opponents to face at "Night of Champions." For the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Rollins will defend his title against Sting. For the United States Championship, Rollins will compete against former champion John Cena.
During Monday night's show, Rollins won't be a happy man, but he will front that he's more than capable of double-main eventing. One angle that will be pushed is Money in the Bank winner Sheamus, who could insert himself into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture. Sting has been rumored to appear tonight, although the WWE has yet to confirm.
WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day are no doubt some of the most highly-anticipated stars on the roster. Whether you love or hate them, the trio of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are the "entertainment" in "sports entertainment." The New Day are in a major storyline with the return of the Dudley Boyz, while former champions Prime Time Players wait to cash in their rematch clause. The Dudleys are undefeated since making their return to the WWE, and they're waiting to crash one of the New Day members into a table.
The "Divas Revolution" appears to have narrowed its storyline, as Charlotte became the No. 1 contender for Nikki Bella's Divas Championship. After Charlotte won the first ever Divas Beat the Clock challenge, she won the right to face Bella at "Night of Champions." In a recent development, Charlotte has apparently petitioned The Authority to move her match up and have it occur before the next pay-per-view event. Bella is on her way to become the longest-reigning Divas Champion, but Charlotte wants to end that reign pronto.
With The Wyatt Family gaining a new member with Braun Strowman, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are on a mission to find a new tag-team partner. A six-man tag-team match has been confirmed at "Night of Champions," but Ambrose and Reigns still do not have a partner. It could be someone already in the main roster, or it could be a Superstar from NXT. During the weekend, a leak appeared to show that third tag-team partner: NXT's Baron Corbin. The addition of Corbin to the main roster was no doubt going to happen, but is it too soon?
Other storylines in development are The Ascension's collaboration with Stardust forming the Cosmic Wasteland, Dolph Ziggler's drama with Lana and Summer Rae, and Kevin Owens' fate since his feud with Cesaro concluded.
"Monday Night Raw" airs weekly at 8 p.m. EDT on the USA Network.
