In front of an audience of millions, recording artists Kanye West and Taylor Swift made amends at the 2015 MTV VMAs on Aug. 30, referencing each other as "friends." They reminisced about their classic "I'ma Let You Finish" moment when West interrupted the "Style" singer's award acceptance speech at the same awards show in 2009.

On Friday, their friendship seemed to have reached a new plateau as Ye sent Swift an enormous block of white roses with some other flowers mixed in.

The songstress immediately acknowledged the gift on both Instagram and Twitter.

"Awww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs," she wrote on Twitter.

Wait, does Swift's hashtag #KanTay2020 mean the two are running for the 2020 presidential campaign together? Swift as his vice president?

Fans may recall that during the 2015 MTV VMAs, the pals shared the stage as Yeezy made his long-winded acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which included an announcement that he's running for president in 2020.

West started the speech thanking Swift, "for being so gracious and giving me this award this evening," and finished it 11 minutes later saying, "And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president."

West's fans immediately took to the Internet and began making campaign swag that includes Kanye West 2020 pins and "Make America Cray Again" hats.

The idea of Swift as West's running mate in the 2020 presidential election has created new buzz and merchandise on social media.

@OFFICIAL_TAY_AU tweeted on Sept. 4, "@taylorswift13 #KanTay2020 OK IF YOU GUYS DO THIS, THEN TAYLOR YOU REALLY NEED TO TEACH KANYE ABOUT SPEECHES!" and posted this meme:

Campaign shirts have already been designed.

Swift, who was obviously joking about running with West in the 2020 presidential election, probably had no idea her hashtag would result in so much hoopla.
