Apple is set to announce its next iPhone this Wednesday. Improvements will be made to the iPhone, but it likely will not lead to a price increase, Tech Radar reports.

Customers should feel at ease because it looks like Apple will retain its old pricing strategy with the new iPhone, likely called the iPhone 6s.

The iPhone 6 was introduced in 2014 with some major changes, especially the size. This year, the iPhone 6s will remain the same size as the iPhone 6 and it will look the same too. With small changes made to the iPhone 6s, this means no price change.

The iPhone 6s will keep the 4.7-inch screen that the iPhone 6 has. The dimensions are likely to be almost the same, if not exactly the same too. An unlocked iPhone 6s will cost $649 in the U.S.

The $649 price is for the entry-level 16 GB iPhone 6s. Many iPhone fans have hoped for Apple to discontinue the 16 GB offering because it does not offer much space for photos and music files.

After the 16 GB model, the iPhone 6s jumps up to 64 GB. The price for the 64 GB model is $749. The largest version of the iPhone 6s is 128 GB, at a price of $849.

With recent changes on how customers will pay for their phones, wireless carriers are now requiring full payment for expensive smartphones like the iPhone, according to Gotta Be Mobile. Instead of being able to sign a new two-year contract and paying $199 for the 16 GB iPhone 6s, customers will have to either pay the full $649 or pay for it monthly until it is paid off.

The large screen iPhone 6s Plus is the update to the iPhone 6 Plus. With the same 5.5-inch screen and similar dimensions to the body, the price is not expected to change.

The entry-level iPhone 6s Plus with 16 GB of storage will cost $749 in the U.S. Upgrading to the 64 GB version will cost $849 and the 128 GB model will cost $949.

Apple will start taking preorders for the new iPhones on Friday, Sept. 11. That's just two days after they announce the phone. This points to a Sept. 18 official launch date of the phone.

Customers will be allowed to line up outside Apple Stores on Sept. 18, but they are strongly urged to preorder the phone.
