Kevin Durant will be the biggest name in the 2016 NBA Free Agency next summer and rumors have already circulated on which team he might sign with. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent come July 1, 2016, and a host of NBA teams are very interested, as reported by ESPN.

KD is currently preparing for the upcoming season as he is set for a comeback after undergoing three foot surgeries. He was first diagnosed with a Jones fracture in his right foot, which kept him out of the first 17 games of the season, then had a minor procedure on the same foot last February to help reduce pain and discomfort. KD missed the remainder of the season after undergoing bone graft surgery in New York City, according to a press release by the Oklahoma City Thunder via NBA.com.

Speaking of New York, Stephen A. Smith of ESPN, as quoted by NBC Sports, said that Carmelo Anthony is recruiting Durant to come to New York. "I know for a fact that Carmelo Anthony has been and will continue to recruit Kevin Durant until the cows come home. I'm also hearing that Kevin Durant is giving the New York Knicks consideration," Smith said.

In a report by News OK, Berry Tramel was asked if KD will leave OKC for NYC. He responded saying, "I can't think of anything would make Durant stay in OKC any better than considering going to New York. What a disaster. Durant knows that New York is a mess. I think there are other organizations that could appeal to Durant, but not the Knickerbockers."

He has a point because the Knicks are in rebuilding mode after having the worst season in franchise history. New York has lost its appeal as free agents LaMarcus Aldridge and Marc Gasol ignored the bright lights to sign with small-market teams, the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies, respectively, as per Bleacher Report.

Among the teams that are rumoured to court, the 2014 MVP are the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets and Dallas Mavericks. Even the defending champion Golden State Warriors are considering a sign-and-trade deal with the Thunder involving Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes, according to FanSided.

But the favorites to land the 26-year-old scoring superstar are the Thunder and his hometown team, the Washington Wizards. Washington Post reports that the Wizards are "all-in" in their pursuit of Durant.

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the world right now, and he said it himself in an interview in Madrid, Spain as quoted by Yahoo Sports, "I think we have a really good team. We're under the radar, exactly where we want to be, and looking forward to having a good season. And yes, I'm still the best player in the world."
