Alyssa Milano has spoken up against bashers who have criticized her breastfeeding photo. The mother of two even compared her photo to Miley Cyrus' nipple slip at the recent MTV Video Music Awards.

The "Charmed" actress opened up about her decision to share photos of herself breastfeeding her baby girl on social media. In an interview with Entertainment Online, Alyssa fought off the backlash and said, "I don't care." The actress jokingly said she plans to breastfeed her daughter Elizabella "maybe until she turns 6."

Alyssa also compared the negative reactions she received from her "almost naked" breastfeeding photo to Miley Cyrus' nipple slip at the VMAs on Aug. 30.

"Everyone's fine with her nipples being out but if I post a picture of me breastfeeding it's like craziness. I think people are more comfortable sexualizing breasts than relating them to what they were made for, which is feeding another human," she tells Entertainment Online in the video below.

Milano shared a throwback photo of herself breastfeeding Elizabelle on her Instagram account on Sept. 5 to celebrate her turning one month old. The photo shows the actress naked from the top, as she cradles her tiny daughter. The photo seems like it was taken when she gave birth to her daughter in the hospital.

Alyssa captioned the photo, "Happy Birthday, my beautiful Elizabella. You've taught me that my heart has no end. You were the missing piece to my soul. Thank you for choosing me." Despite the backlash, she also received compliments for her photo, that captured the bond between mother and daughter.

One Instagram user named jabbylyn wrote, "You're a beautiful role model! I Breastfeeding is the best bonding experience." Another fan named kadygerolam called out to those who thought the photo is sexual in any way and wrote, "Anyone who gives you shame and hate for breast feeding your daughter is wrong. This is a beautiful and inspiring picture and is not sexual or revealing in any way."

Alyssa has been very vocal about her reasons for posting pictures of herself breastfeeding her daughter. She once told People that it's not because she's "trying to be outspoken" about breastfeeding; it's just she wants to share that "very special moment" with her fellow mothers. She told People that the support she's been getting from "not only breastfeeding moms, but moms everywhere, has been really powerful and really overwhelming."
