EuroBasket 2015 Live Stream & Schedule: Spain & Germany in Crucial Matches, France & Serbia Eyeing Sweep

Spain and Germany will collide in a crucial match, while powerhouse teams France and Serbia will look to complete a sweep of their group on the final day of EuroBasket 2015 preliminary round.

Germany will host Spain in one of the final first-round matches in Berlin on Thursday. Both teams need a win in order to advance to the knockout stage after losing crucial matches early in the preliminary round.

Spain, who are led by veteran Pau Gasol of Chicago Bulls, opened their campaign with an 80-70 loss to Serbia, and also took a stunning 105-98 defeat to Italy.

On the other hand, the Dirk Nowitzki-led Germany took a painful 68-66 loss to Serbia, which was followed by an 80-75 defeat to Turkey. Italy also defeated Germany 89-82 on Wednesday.

Gasol and Nowitzki, two of the biggest superstars playing in EuroBasket this year, are expected to go all out for their respective teams. Gasol averaged 23.0 points and 7.3 points in their first four games, while Nowitzki posted 14.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Germany are currently fifth on the group standings, while Spain are tied with Turkey for third and fourth. Turkey are expected to clinch one of the three spots, which means the loser of the Germany-Spain match will likely bid goodbye to their hopes of getting a ticket to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

On the other hand, Serbia will look to finish on top of the group when they collide with Italy in Berlin.

The Serbia-Italy match will be the battle for the top spot in Group B, which will give the winning team a favorable matchup in the round-of-16 knockout game.

France will also put their perfect record on the line against Israel in Montpellier. Like the Serbia-Italy game, the France-Israel showdown will decide who will finish on top of Group A.
