Karrueche Tran, DJ Esco Dating Rumors: Did ’56 Nights’ DJ and Model Hook Up at SAX Nightclub?
DJ Esco and Karrueche Tran were spotted together at SAX nightclub in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Sept. 4. A photo of the DJ with his arm affectionately around the model was taken. Each posted the photo to their Instagram account the same night, leading some to believe that they are dating.
DJ Esco, best known for his long-time collaborations with Atlanta rapper Future, is doing well for himself with a newly released mixtape "$ir Isles - Swag 4 Sale," as well as a Vine of him dancing in Future and Drake's "Where Ya At" video that has gone viral.
According to Power 105.1 Radio, Esco's winning streak continues and an inside source reports that he and Tran are a couple.
When Power 105.1 Radio tweeted on Tuesday, "Source from @1Future's camp reveals that @karrueche & Future's DJ, @EscoMoeCity, are dating."
The Vietnamese-Jamaican model was quick to respond on Twitter. "@Power1051 not sure who your 'source' is but we are not dating. It was a simple club pic - nothing more, nothing less," she wrote.
One of Tran's followers suggested that she is trying to downplay the dating rumors so that former boyfriend and singer Chris Brown doesn't find out and have a meltdown.
"lol @karrueche trynna shut these rumors down quick before @chrisbrown wakes up!" @ileanasteele_ posted on Twitter Tuesday.
"It ain't about him [Chris Brown]. It's about me being attached to these men and looking like a hoe. Absolutely not," Tran tweeted in response.
If Tran is dating DJ Esco, she has good reason to be concerned about Brown's reaction. The "Loyal" singer is possessive over his former girlfriend though they've been broken up for nearly six months.
Over the Labor Day weekend, rapper The Game liked several of Tran's Instagram pictures, which instantly provoked a response from Brown, reports BET.
"Someone must have something they need to promote. It's sad people need gimmicks to maintain fame. All pub is good pub I guess," Brown commented on the Instagram post.
Game, who is currently promoting his LP, "The Documentary 2," responded with a few threats.
"Keep throwing subliminals ni**a...We both know when it's ME vs. YOU who gone come out on top punk.... I still owe you one for that s**t you pulled...We both know yo time coming blood," he wrote, adding, "Now gone call who u gone call n tell who u gone tell...That ain't gone stop me from knockin' yo a** out when I see you #YouKnowMe."
Breezy and The Game have been friends until this point. They have even collaborated on music.
Tran has called Brown a hypocrite for his possessiveness, citing his infidelity when they were together and the fact he is seen publicly with many women.
"I'm bored and tried [sic] of this situation. I don't get it because I'm single," Tran told TMZ. "I thought we have all matured and moved on. Especially since Chris has been seen with multiple women since the breakup. I don't want anything to do with any type of violence or negativity."
In March, Tran broke up with the "Liquor" singer after she discovered he had fathered a child with model Nia Guzman.
