Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers Signs Endorsement Deal With Adidas
Reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. One of the perks of this? He gets an endorsement from a well known sportswear manufacturer.
According to Bleacher Report, Rodgers and Adidas agreed to an endorsement deal. Rodgers, who is ranked 95th in Forbes 100 richest athletes, signed the deal yesterday. It is unknown how much money Rodgers will be getting. Rodgers is known for his endorsement with State Farm and its "Discount Double Check" commercials.
In a statement provided by ESPN, Rodgers stated, "I've set the bar high throughout my career and the opportunity to collaborate and have influence on products and marketing with Adidas is a game changer for me."
Adidas tweeted the announcement of their newest signing:

Adidas group president Mark King said that the recent signing is "a bold statement when the best player in the biggest sport leaves our competitor to join our team. This is just the start, as we continue to reignite our brand in America."
For many years, Rodgers was wearing Nike apparel during his games. Rodgers joins other athletes such as Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray, Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham, Denver Broncos defensive end Von Miller, and six 2015 draft picks, including Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Phillip Dorsett and Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker. Adidas made a splash earlier this year when they signed Houston Rockets star James Harden to a 13-year, $200 million endorsement deal.
Rodgers won the MVP award last season after leading the Packers to the NFC title game against the Seattle Seahawks. Last season, he threw for 4,381 yards with 38 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He also won the MVP award in 2011.
Rodgers will be wearing Adidas apparel when the Packers start their season Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
