Nike is set to give fans of LeBron James and sneakerheads a treat this weekend as they are set to release one of the most anticipated colorways of the latest lifestyle shoe of the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar.
Nike revealed on their official website that the LeBron 12 EXT, the lifestyle variant of James' latest signature shoe, will arrive at retailers on Saturday in what is dubbed as the "King's Court" edition.
The LeBron 12 "King's Court" edition, which is officially listed as the Natural/Natural-Black-Metallic Gold colorway of the model, has been making a lot of noise over the past several weeks.
What to Expect from the New LeBron 12 EXT
As the name itself suggest, this edition features a cork-based upper part that was combined with black overlay that runs from the side of the toe area up to the heel area. A premium metallic gold Nike Swoosh logo is visible on top of the overlay, giving the shoe a luxurious look.
A metallic gold LeBron James logo can also be found at the back portion of the shoe along with a black pull tab with James' signature and King's Court stitching.
James's signature is also present on the tongue. A red insole, which is said to be a tribute to the Cleveland Cavaliers, was also put in place, featuring a unique graphic design. It was finished off with a gum rubber outsole to complete the cork-themed lifestyle sneaker.
The LeBron 12 EXT "King's Court" edition will be available for $250 per pair on Nike.com and select retailers worldwide. More photos and additional information are available on the official product page.
According to Nike, the LeBron 12 EXT "King's Court" edition was released as part of the 12th year anniversary celebration of James's popular signature line. Sneakernews also had a positive review, saying that this edition gives sneakerheads a reason to celebrate.
"Nike is still bound by tradition and knows the impact that the cork tooling had on LeBron's lifestyle line," Sneakernews noted. "Thanks to a new take on the material by leaving the solid posite intact and a premium twist on metallic gold eyelets, lace dubraes, and more - you're at least getting a luxurious take on the silhouette."
