Looks like Obama is not the only Commander-in-Chief who gets to sway to the timeless rhythms of an Etta James standard.

A new teaser for Season 5 of ABC’s hit drama “Scandal” has President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) making up for lost time with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington). “Hi,” says a happily tired Fitz. “Hi,” responds Oliva from underneath him, and the song “At Last” plays on.

As viewers of the Shonda Rhimes-created series will recall, last season ended with these two forbidden lovers making out on the White House balcony.

What came as some long awaited fun for these two happens to be some seriously bad news for the president’s wife Mellie (Bellamy Young), who was kicked out of the White House right before all the smoothing took place.

The new teaser for Season 5 shows that things have gotten considerably worse for the first lady as Fitz is now telling Mellie he wants a divorce.

Bellamy recently got the chance to meet with former first lady and current presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, a woman who knows a thing or two about political scandals as well spousal infidelity. And, although the actress says there are “a lot of parallels” between Mellie and Hillary, the comparisons are not valid.

“Our show is fake and she’s living a life,” Young said, who adds that “it was wonderful to meet a woman who, though she’s been so disparaged for so many years, remains formidable and committed and resilient and relevant and moves the ball forward and, in person, is so soft and warm and lovely and present.”

The 45-year-old actress shared a photo of her meeting with Clinton on Instagram.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the meeting, Bellamy says, “It was such an incredible moment and so astonishing to get to actually meet her.”

Season 5 of “Scandal” premieres on Sept. 24 on ABC.
