Taylor Swift Wins an Emmy, Sued by Denver DJ
A former Denver radio personality and DJ recently filed a lawsuit against Taylor Swift on Thursday, Sept. 10, USA Today reports.
The DJ named Swift as the reason he lost his job, after he was accused of inappropriately touching her during a photo shoot. The DJ, whose name is David Mueller, insists that he was falsely accused of harassing Swift by a member of her security team.
Swift's security team member reportedly claimed that Mueller grabbed Swift's buttocks backstage while doing a photo shoot at the Pepsi Center on June 2, 2013.
Two days after the accusations against Mueller, he was fired from his job at Denver radio station KYGO, USA Today reports.
Mueller's lawsuit reportedly denies he had inappropriate contact with Swift, while noting that the former DJ has worked with many celebrities prior to Swift with no similar incidents.
But despite Mueller's claims, Swift's publicist reportedly says Mueller's employer made the decision to fire him on its own, once it was provided with evidence of the incident.
Though Mueller's lawsuit against Swift might put a downer on her week, she can fortunately be happy about her recent Emmy Award win.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, Swift tweeted that she won an Emmy and was shipped the award overnight.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Swift won an Emmy "for Original Interactive Program for her 'AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience,' which she starred in and also executive produced."
"AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience" premiered after the debut of Swift's music video for her popular song "Blank Space." Following her Emmy win, Swift tweeted that she initially thought her Emmy trophy was a prank.
