Star Wars fans can take comfort in knowing that a life-size Millennium Falcon has been built on the Pinewood Studios lot in London... and the female lead has been confirmed and cast for the much-anticipated Episode 7!

It's interesting to note that the space ships have as much of a presence in the Star Wars films as the actual cast and crew. The degree of the featuring of the Millennium Falcon in the new film is unclear, but it gives many insiders comfort in knowing that Han Solo (Harrison Ford) will definitely have a presence in the new film, as will Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

But Enstars (via Bleeding Cool) has also confirmed that the female lead in the film has been cast...though they don't give details as to who the actress is, or even what role she's playing. (This, presumably, is JJ Abrams' way of being "less secretive" than he has been about his film projects in the past.) "I think the big news about Episode VII casting will be the female lead, though folk might not realize it until after they see the film," the site wrote. "If everything we're hearing is true, she's already been cast too, so I wouldn't be surprised is word sneaks out pretty soon."

Meanwhile, according to WebProNews, additional castings have been confirmed... and denied.

First, the bad news for fans of the Transformers movies: Jack Reynor, the star of the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction film, has confirmed that he will NOT be taking a role in Episode 7. "There is no truth in that. [He] is not taking on a role in the new 'Star Wars' film," said the actor, in a statement issued by his representative.

But the good news: both Benedict Cumberbatch (whose fans call themselves the "Cumberbitches") and Gary Oldman have roles in the film. "Cumberbatch and Oldman were pursued for the same role, but I don't know how that will work out with the script changes, but I'm told they are both involved," reports the site.
