Three more suspects have been arrested in connection to the Bangkok bombing last month.

BBC reports that three more suspects have been arrested in connection to the Bangkok bombing that killed over 20 people and injuring more than 120. Police chief Khalid Abu Bakar stated that they have arrested a Pakistani man, a Malaysian woman and a Malaysian man. Thanks to a tip by a witness, all three suspects are in custody.

Two of the suspects are from the Chinese province of Xinjiang. The province is home to a number of Muslims living in the area and is a hot spot for authorities who are looking for the person responsible for the attack.

Over the weekend, Thai police issued an arrest warrant for a 27-year-old man named Abudusataer Abudureheman. Police believe that Abudureheman escaped to Bangladesh one day after the attack. They also believe that he played a major role in orchestrating the bombing. According to BBC, the suspect fled to Turkey.

A Thai police spokesman commented on Abudureheman's whereabouts: "He departed Dhaka on 30 August for Delhi. From Delhi, he continued his travel to Abu Dhabi, and from Abu Dhabi he traveled on 31 August to Istanbul. This is his final destination."

Police also arrested Adem Karadag, whose nationality has yet to be verified, and Yusufu Mieraili, who is of Chinese decent. A man with a yellow shirt, who left a backpack at the scene minutes before the attack, is still at large and is described as the main suspect.

No group, terrorist or domestic, has claimed responsibility for the bombing, which took place at the famed Erawan shrine.

A number of suspects are in custody, but no one has been charged with a crime. The investigation is still ongoing and authorities are looking into any leads.
