'Batman: Arkham Origins' Cheats, Walkthrough & DLC: New Trailer for Cold, Cold Heart DLC Released [Watch Here]
"Batman: Arkham Origins" recently unveiled the trailer for its latest DLC storyline, "Cold, Cold Heart". The new DLC will focus on Mr. Freeze, Cinemablend reports.
Keeping with the theme of "Arkham Origins", which centers on the characters from the Batman universe, "Cold Heart" will give gamers a chance to see Dr. Victor Fries' backstory. The trailer however, which is more of a teaser, doesn't provide much information about Mr. Freeze's story in the game.
The trailer opens with a shot of GothCorp Inc. A ghostly and solemn rendition of the song Auld Lang Syne plays in the background as snow falls on the city. An awards ceremony inside GothCorp Inc. is interrupted by an explosion of ice. Mr. Freeze then enters the building wearing his signature cryogenic suit and wielding his freeze gun.
This scene coincides with the screenshots released by Warner Bros. last year showing a partially frozen Humanitarian Award.
Ames Kirschen, Vice President of Productions at WB Games, described "Cold, Cold Heart" as a mini-chapter in the "Batman: Arkham Origins" story but with a more narrative-oriented approach as compared to the previous DLCs. According to Comicbook.com, he said, "This is...in-game, mission, story content with brand new story content wrapped around Mr. Freeze in the 'Arkham Origins' setting."
Kirschen also revealed that in order deal with Mr. Freeze's cryogenic weapons, Batman will be donning a new suit designed for extreme conditions. The new bat-suit in the DLC is one of the prototypes created by Bruce Wayne's butler, Alfred. Kirschen added that the new suit "will actually change gameplay and help you be more resilient," as reported by Joystiq.
"Cold, Cold Heart" is scheduled for release on April 22 of this year. It designed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms. Unfortunately though, the DLC will not be available for Nintendo Wii U users.
