Watch: Demi Lovato Teases She May Be Bisexual
Demi Lovato opened up about her sexuality during a recent interview with British host Alan Carr. The 23-year-old somehow teased she may be bisexual, after she was asked to explain the lyrics of her song "Cool for the Summer."
Lovato sat down for an interview on Carr's "The Chatty Man" show where she talked about her love for tattoos and her music "Cool for the Summer."
In the video below, shared by YouTube user Iram Mehdi, the late-night host is heard saying the song has a sinister or cheeky meaning to it. To back up his assertion, Carr cited some of its lyrics including "Tell me what you want, what you like, it's ok," "I'm a little curious, too" and "Got a taste for the cherry I just need to take a bite." Then he asks Demi if she can "confirm or deny" if the song is about lesbianism.
The singer is seen chuckling and giving Carr a wide grin before she replies, "I'm not confirming and I'm definitely not denying. All these songs are based off of personal experiences."
Demi's statements had the studio audience cheering and even Carr could be heard muttering an "oh my" before giving the singer a meaningful smile.
"I don't think there is anything wrong with experimentation at all, "Demi continues to explain as heard in the video below, to which Alan agrees with a "no."
The show host then relayed his own experience and says he had an "experimentation once and it stuck."
Demi responds and says "Hey, I didn't say it didn't stick either," causing the studio audience to erupt into cheers.
To continue with the topic of experimentation, the singer tells Carr that she thinks there's nothing wrong with experimenting. She also tells the show host that she finds it more attractive if a man has admitted to having experimented before, than those who cringe at the mere mention of it.
According to E! News, although Demi didn't specify her sexuality, her statements in the interview are already giving hints about her being bisexual.
The "Heart Attack" singer is currently in a serious relationship with Wilmer Valderrama. Demi recently revealed when she fell in love with the actor in a recent interview with Capital FM.
"I was very attracted to him from the second I saw him. I loved him the second I met him. For him it was a little different because I was younger and so he was like 'stay away from me!'" she said.
