The Mega Millions jackpot is back down to double digits. But if you wouldn't mind adding a few million to your bank account, then you want to grab a lottery ticket today and tune in at 11 p.m. EDT tonight -- that's when the draw for the $15 million prize is set to take place at the studios of WSB-TV, Atlanta's ABC affiliate.

The lucky winner who takes home the jackpot tonight will have the choice between the total prize, paid out in annual installments over a 29-year period, or an immediate payout of a lump sum of $9 million. Before you agonize over that decision, however, consider that the odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 259 million.

The lottery's winning numbers from the last drawing, on Sept. 11, were 5, 11, 31, 50 and 67; the Mega Ball number was 14; and the Megaplier number was 2, according to the game's official website.

The estimated jackpot was $106 million, and a lucky player matched the five winning numbers along with the Mega Ball, which means that New York has a new millionaire, the Associated Press noted. The Sept. 11 drawing also yielded $1 million for a participant who hit five numbers without the Megaplier option, the multistate lottery detailed.

A similar $1 million ticket sold in western Michigan in late May, meanwhile, is still unclaimed, MLive noted. There is no rush yet, however, because the champion has one year to claim the prize; but if he or she does not do so by May 26, 2016, the money will go to Michigan's School Aid Fund, the website detailed.

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday, and the draw entry closes at 10:45 p.m. EDT. Tickets to the game are sold in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands -- a total of 45 jurisdictions. And while hitting the jackpot is a true feat, the odds of winning any prize are much better at about 1 in 15.
