For the first time since FIFA 14, you can play with professional soccer teams from Brazil.

Polygon is reporting that 16 Brazilian professional soccer teams will be playable in the upcoming FIFA 16. The following Brazilian teams have been confirmed to be in the game: Atlético-MG, Atlétic-PR, Avaí, Coritiba, Chapecoense, Cruzeiro, Figueirense, Fluminense, Grêmio, Internacional, Joinville, Ponte Preta, Palmeiras, Santos, São Paulo, and Vasco da Gama.

Johnathan Harris, the Brazil manger of EA Sports, stated the following about adding the teams: "We have worked to create the best possible experience for FIFA fans in Brazil and around the world to include Brazilian teams, We know FIFA fans love playing with Brazilian players and teams across the game, so adding 16 clubs is positive news for all fans."

However, there is one catch: You can only play with these teams against a friend or the CPU. None of these teams are playable in Career Mode. Players on these teams will be available in the transfer database if managers wish to acquire them for their clubs in that mode.

EA Sports also announced that the full list of teams in the game will be revealed soon. Based on the players ratings that were announced earlier this month, teams like Real Madrid and FC Barcelona will be playable.

In FIFA 15, there were no playable Brazilian professional soccer teams, which was a little bit strange considering that they were in the previous installment of the game. It was later revealed that licensing negotiations fell through during development of last year's game.

FIFA 16 will be in stores on Sept. 22 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3. It is quickly becoming one of EA Sports' best selling sports video game franchises. You can check out the gameplay trailer for the game below:
