The actress said, while she isn't leaving the Netflix series anytime soon, she is just as passionate about music and performing live.

"I love doing acoustic sets," she said.

"It doesn't matter if I make money for it," Cruz explained. "I don't think I've made a dime from it actually, because my band is expensive so I actually have to pay them out of my own pocket! But I don't care."

The actress plans on working on her own music in the future, and, in an interview with Remezcla, the actress explained where she gets her inspiration.

"I definitely write about my past experiences, happy moments in my life, sad moments in my life, heartbreaks," the Latina said.

"I'm vulnerable because I'm singing about my experiences and it's scary to put yourself out there but, that's the way I do it. I write with my guitar and I take it to the studio and whatever producer I working with, we create a melody and from there that's how it happens."
