“Switched at Birth,” ABC Family's hit teen-oriented drama, has put its characters through financial frustrations this season, as well the ramifications of an unplanned pregnancy.

Monday's episode will be heading into the world of young jealous rage.

As fans of the series will know, Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Emmett's (Sean Berdy) breakup has not been an easy ride. It appears that now things between the two are about to go off the rails.

In Episode 15 of Season 4, “Instead of Damning the Darkness, It’s Better to Light a Little Lantern,” Daphne (Katie Leclerc), Bay and Travis (Ryan Lane) will head to Mexico to knock out a little volunteer work while they knock back a few tequila shots.

A description of the episode, provided by CarterMatt, reveals that Bay’s anger at Emmett will get the best of her. A teaser for the upcoming episode shows Daphne cheating on her boyfriend by kissing some dude on the trip, while Emmet, who shows up unannounced, gets into a barroom brawl over Bay -- although it does look like she is trying to instigate the situation, licking a guy’s neck and signing for her deaf ex, “Now, who’s jealous?”

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly about the power of her show back in March, Lea Thompson said people tuned in because they wanted to be educated as well as entertained. “I think everybody wants to learn while they’re entertained, I really do," said Thompson, adding, “It’s like multitasking! And that’s one thing the show brings up, because I think we always have a pretty fair argument on every side of every argument, which makes for good drama.”

The 54-year-old “Back to the Future” star is positive that “if people have good arguments on either side of an issue, it’s good TV.”

The next episode of “Switched at Birth” airs Monday, Sept. 21 on ABC Family.
